Paul Martiniello

Head, Prudential Supervision, Single and Multi-Employer Pension Plans
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)

Paul has over 15 years of experience working with pension plans both in Canada and abroad. He has held a variety of roles providing him experience in risk management, investment management, and pension operations.

Paul is now accountable for providing leadership in the delivery of relationship management and initiatives in support of overall prudential supervision strategies for single and multi-employer pensions regulated by FSRA.

Paul holds a B. Com and International MBA in Finance as well as the Charter Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

   
 

James Hoffner

Head, Prudential Supervision, Large Public Sector Pension Plans
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)

James brings over 20 years of experience working with investment regulation. He began his career as a lawyer in private practice. He then practised in-house at a large financial institution.

He has worked on a range of significant transactional and advisory matters concerning securities, life insurance and pensions. He joined FSRA in 2020 to support its strategic policy and supervisory activities.

James is a graduate of McMaster University (BA), Queen’s University (MA), University of Toronto (JD) and New York University (LLM).

   
  

Claire Ezzeddin

Senior Manager

Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada

Claire is Senior Manager, Legislative Affairs Division, Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada. Claire has worked at OSFI since 2013 in roles involving pension plan supervision, approvals, and policy.

Prior to joining OSFI, Claire practised in the areas of labour and employment law and pensions and benefits law at a large national firm. Claire is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Law Society of Ontario.

   
  

Kim Page

Director, Private Pension Plans Supervision

Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada

Kim Page has over 25 years experience in the pension industry, including 13 years at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) and 10 years working in the pension practice of a major consulting firm.

She is currently the Director of the Private Pension Plans Supervision team at OSFI. She is responsible for supervising federally regulated private pension plans and pooled registered pension plans to ensure they are meeting minimum funding requirements and are complying with legislative and supervisory requirements.

Kim has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Laval University and holds the designation of Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (ACIA) and the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
