FORUM 2025 A Look Back at Three Powerful Days in Vancouver

This past June, CPBI FORUM 2025 brought together professionals from across Canada for an energizing three-day experience in Vancouver — filled with learning, inspiration, and meaningful connection.

We were proud to welcome 345 in-person attendees and 280 online participants, representing a vibrant and diverse cross-section of the pension and benefits community.

Whether attending in person or online, participants came ready to explore the most pressing issues in pensions and benefits today, share ideas, and strengthen the networks that help us all better serve our organizations and communities.

Learning That Mattered

FORUM 2025 offered a dynamic and inclusive learning program that reflected the complexity of today's pension and benefits landscape, with sessions that explored a wide range of relevant and forward-looking topics (view the full FORUM agenda here).

From engaging workshops and sessions led by industry experts, to roundtables where participants were able to discuss and share on specific hot topics, each learning activity provided attendees with actionable takeaways, new frameworks for decision-making, and a deeper understanding of the forces shaping our field, ensuring everyone left with something meaningful to apply in their role and region.

A Keynote That Resonated

A standout moment came from keynote speaker David Allison, who challenged and inspired the audience with a powerful talk on what matters now: a values-based guide for pension and benefits leaders. Their insights on how shared human values can serve as a strategic blueprint for engagement, communication, and workplace culture set the tone for reflection and action — and reminded us of the broader purpose behind the work we do.

Connections and Community

Beyond the formal program, FORUM 2025 was alive with conversation, collaboration, and celebration. From vibrant networking breaks to our evening socials, every moment offered a chance to connect — with new peers, long-time colleagues, and future collaborators.

These connections are part of what makes FORUM such a valued space — a place where professionals across the pension and benefits landscape come together not just to learn, but to share, support, and grow as a community.
