Bill Ellis

Bill started in the pharmaceutical industry in 1990 after graduating from Simon Fraser University with a B Sc. in Kinesiology. He has been with Abbott, now Abbvie, for the last 20 years. He has worked in a wide variety of therapeutic areas as both a primary care and specialty sales representative before moving into both district and regional manager roles.

Some of the specialty therapeutic areas he has been involved in are Respiratory Medicine, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Radiation Oncology and Urology.

Based in Calgary for the last 18 years Bill has managed sales districts and regions from Toronto to Victoria giving him a solid understanding of the diversity of the Canadian health care system as well as the differences in the reimbursement landscape. He worked within the biologic market as a regional manager with Humira for seven years. Bill now manages the Progress Field team for Western Canada (Manitoba to BC) working with three Progress District Managers and their teams consisting of 12 Field Case Managers and 15 Personal Case Specialists.

Bonnie Ditmer 

Bonnie has been in the pharmaceutical industry since 1987 and has worked in many different therapeutic areas and roles. She became part of the patient support program for Humira in August 2014 as the District Manager of the Alberta team of field case managers and personal care specialists who handle patient support as well as the health care professionals needs related to Humira. She is based in Calgary but oversees the patient support program team for all of Alberta.
