2021 CPBI Atlantic Virtual Conference

2021 CPBI Atlantic Virtual Conference

October 7, 2021 9:00 AM to 4:30 PMEngage Platform
Area of Interest: Pensions, Benefits, Investments, Networking Format: Web

Welcome to the 17th annual CPBI Atlantic Regional Conference, which is also our second conference to be held virtually.  Similar to last year, there was some uncertainty early this year as to whether we would or should be able to meet in person.  In the end, it was decided that a virtual conference was the way to go!

Our theme, The Path Ahead:  Rock On, is our focus for providing participants with a view of what we can expect on the Benefits and Pension landscape in the coming months and years.  We also wanted to pay a little homage to Newfoundland, “The Rock”, where our in-person conference was slated to take place, before the pandemic required we change paths.

Our conference committee continues to work hard to bring you relevant educational content and a fitting keynote speaker.  Our early bird registrants, will also be treated to a taste of Newfoundland.  We hope you can join us as we explore challenges and opportunities within the pension and benefits industry in the midst of a global pandemic.

We look forward to connecting with you virtually on October 7th.

TIMOTHY CAULFIELD

The coronavirus is not just a pandemic, it is an infodemic. It has caused physical harm and
financial loss, added confusion and distraction to an already chaotic environment and made it even more difficult to implement needed health policy initiatives.

How does this misinformation spread?  What can we do as individuals, benefit providers, employers, and a community to fight back?

Timothy Caulfield is a Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy, a Professor in the Faculty of Law and the School of Public Health, and Research Director of the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta.

Delta St. John's Newfoundland 2024

2021 was the year we were suppose to in St. John's, Newfoundland at the iconic Delta St. John's.

With the second and then third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic making it impossible to predict what Fall 2021 would bring, we had to deviate from our original path.  The safety and well being of our members and delegates remains our mission.   Therefore, our 2021  CPBI Atlantic Regional Conference will once again be going virtual!

CPBI Members will be treated to a little bit of Newfoundland , in a NL inspired Delegate box.  Only 200 boxes available, so register early!

Thank you to the Delta St. John's  for helping us transition our event.  As a not for profit organization, this means alot.

We look forward to hosting an in person conference at the Delta St. John's, NL October 2-4, 2024.

2021 CPBI Atlantic Virtual Conference Sponsorship

Even with best laid plans to maximize potential for successful outcomes in our professional lives, the path ahead has always had elements of uncertainty with unpredictable bumps and roadblocks to slow us down or send us into unforeseen detours.

The second CPBI Atlantic Virtual Conference is going to “rock on” along our detoured path and arrive at the destination with an event that will keep our delegates engaged and sponsors satisfied.

We want to THANK our valued, loyal sponsors who joined us again on our continued journey.

With the support of our sponsors, we have created a Newfoundland Inspired Delegate Box that will be delivered to the first 200 CPBI Members and their guests.

Please join us in our appreciation of the 24 sponsors listed in the upper right hand column!
