Description:

We are looking for a seasoned and client-focused Senior Consultant, Group Retirement to join our team. In this key role, you will manage a portfolio of large clients, ensuring they receive expert guidance, excellent service, and strategic retirement plan support. You'll lead client meetings, present governance reports, coordinate with plan partners and insurers, and deliver engaging educational sessions for plan members.
You'll also play an active role in business development, collaborating with group benefits colleagues across the country to grow our presence and deliver integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities : 
Client Relationship Management & Consulting

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with plan sponsors;
  • Conduct client visits and serve as the main point of contact for retirement plan consulting and service;
  • Prepare and deliver clear, insightful governance reports to clients and pension committees;
  • Provide expert guidance on retirement plan design, compliance, and administration;
  • Coordinate with plan administrators to resolve issues efficiently and effectively;
  • Lead employee education sessions and provide one-on-one support as needed.

Plan Implementation & Oversight

  • Oversee the setup and successful launch of new retirement plans;
  • Work closely with insurers and partners to ensure timely delivery of plan documents and materials;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs and ensure service excellence.

Business Development & Team Collaboration

  • Partner with group benefits consultants to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities;
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by contributing to proposals and client presentations;
  • Participate actively in business development, SWAT team meetings, and internal strategy sessions;
  • Assist advisors with administrative follow-ups and client initiatives.

Industry Engagement & Leadership

  • Represent AGA Benefit Solutions at conferences and industry events;
  • Act as a facilitator for internal and external training sessions;
  • Promote our exclusive products and services while identifying new business opportunities;
  • Take on other related responsibilities as assigned by the National Director.
Requirements:

  • University level (bachelor’s degree) or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in group retirement plans; 
  • Must hold a license in personal insurance (LLQP); 
  • Very good knowledge of social laws; 
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset; 
  • The candidate must travel frequently; a car with a licence is essential; 
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment, integrity, and honesty; 
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of information; 
  • Good interpersonal relationships; 
  • Professionalism, resourcefulness, and autonomy.
