Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Total Rewards Specialist on a temporary basis (12
months) on our People & Culture team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across
Western Canada.

What you’ll do:
- Provide support in designing and developing Total Reward strategies and frameworks for the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).
- Participate in research, needs evaluation, design, development, and measurement of strategic activities related to Total Rewards, with the goal of creating programs and frameworks that enhance employee experience, engagement, retention, and to attract new candidates to FCL and local Co-ops.
- Support the design and development of strategic activities relating to Total Rewards and provide recommendations for program and structure adjustments/enhancements.
- Support the development and implementation of various Total Reward programs and projects such as recognition strategies, awards, bonuses, short term disability programs, flexible spending accounts and the evolution of non-management compensation approaches.
- Support the creation of Total Rewards policies, processes and learning materials to support the communication strategy and plan for CRS employees.
- Support the coordination and roll out of organizational wide Total Rewards initiatives across the CRS through the utilization of FCL project and change management frameworks.
- Review and analyze current programs, policies, and data to identify trends/impacts and ensure alignment with best practice.
- Ensure the Total Rewards programs are being accurately and consistently administered, and that benefit plans and renewals are in compliance with internal guidelines, regulations, legislation and are aligned with provincial reporting requirements.

You will work closely with the Communities of Expertise (COE) team, and will report into the Manager,
Total Rewards, COE. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, community, and provides
support for the CRS

Requirements:
Who you are:
- You are looking for a career in Human Resources & Training and:
- Have a minimum of 3-6 years experience in Human Resources (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have previous experience in the area of Total Rewards including awards and recognitions, compensation, benefits and pensions (required).
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration, ideally with a major in Human Resources.
- As an asset, have specialized training with designations such as CPHR, CCP, or CEBS.
- Are honest and trustworthy, results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- Believe in collaboration, building relationships and values the perspectives of others.
