Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding role within the field of Retirement Services? We are looking for a Pension & Benefits Analyst to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of enterprise retirement programs including exceeding service standards and providing exceptional customer service. What you will do:

  • Daily and weekly administration of pension and retiree benefit policies and programs.
  • Monitor and review the eligibility of pension programs for active, deferred, and retired employees.
  • Ensure participation in pension programs is completed with a focus on eligibility, time, age, service.
  • Enroll new participants in retiree benefit programs upon retirement and ensure enrollment is based on age, country, company,
  • Monitor and ensure retirement awards are administered on a monthly basis through an external vendor.
  • Review, monitor, and update data between Enbridge and external vendors to ensure accuracy in benefit enrollment, premium deductions, dependents, and status.
  • Receive and respond to questions and queries from active, deferred vested, surviving, and retired members related to pension and retiree benefits.
  • Actively manage queries through case management tools to ensure accurate and timely response within set Service Level Agreements.
  • When necessary raise issues and questions leveraging our partnership with the Centre of Expertise, Benefits Operations, HR Advisory, Payroll and Labour Relations.
  • Collaborate with vendors ensuring flawless delivery of retiree benefit programs through ongoing and effective relationship.
  • Support partners with operations and project work, assisting in reaching HR strategic goals (voluntary workforce options, pension harmonization, benefits harmonization).
  • Lead the annual benefits open enrollment for Retirement Services working in partnership with HR Cycle, Benefit Operations, and our vendors.
  • Provide ad hoc statistics/reports and queries to support strategic and operation reporting requirements for both internal and external partners.
  • Perform various pension benefit calculations (retirements, marriage breakdowns, post-retirement, etc.) in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure new and existing retirees are set up for payments/modified payments through the plan trustee.

You have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent and 3-5 years progressive work experience with 1 to 2 years within pension and/or benefits.
  • General benefit administration program knowledge.
  • Proficient in Excel and solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suites of products.
  • Ability to convey facts and information clearly both written and verbally.
  • Ability to collect sufficient information to understand problems and issues.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, methods, and practices.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of employees across the organization (North America and International).
  • Resourceful and highly results oriented with analytical, evaluation, problem solving and facilitation skills.
