Founded in 1960, the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute (CPBI) (www.cpbi-icra.ca) is a national, not-for-profit organization that provides its members with affordable education and networking opportunities in the areas of retirement, benefits, and investment across Canada. CPBI has an operating budget of $2 million, 4,000 users/clients who deal with the Institute throughout the year, and a national office staff of 7 people.
CPBI is seeking a National Marketing & Communications Coordinator, based in any one of Canada's provinces. This position offers great flexibility with either a 30 or 37.5 hour work week and includes a competitive benefits package.

Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent is responsible for developing marketing and communication strategies for targeted audiences, both internally and externally.
EXTERNAL: Responsible for raising CPBI's brand awareness in the market, helping CPBI be more visible in targeted market segments (advisors, HR professionals, others).
INTERNAL: Responsible for overseeing the member experience, provide intelligence and insights on members/non-member users, and identify member recruitment & retention opportunities. Aim is to growth membership renewals, new memberships and event / session registrations across the board.
Job Details
- Develop and coordinate the annual marketing and communications plan;
- Manage annual budget for marketing and communications;
- Lead marketing efforts to raise CPBI awareness in the market and attract new members/non-member users;
- Lead the creative development and delivery of the marketing-communications content across print, digital and electronic venues;
- Develop and project manage end-to-end execution of marketing and communication collateral (templates, PowerPoint, brochure, sponsorship packages, booth, annual report, You Tube channel, short videos, etc.). Ensure they are up to date with respect to branding, content and overall messaging;
- Uphold reputation of the CPBI brand to key external and internal stakeholders;
- Lead digital marketing plan and Manage digital outsourced consultants & digital applications used by CPBI;
- Maintain member journey, detailed analysis of membership profiles (personas), analyze trends and share findings with Regions / National;
- Lead & manage new member onboarding, and coordinate efforts with Regions;
- Coordinate membership renewal campaign with the team (Individual and Group campaigns);
- Membership statistics & reporting to Regions / National;
- Lead the annual report production;
- Track, measure and report effectiveness of communication programs and marketing campaigns;
- Assist CPBI Regions (Chapters) for marketing/communications support when needed;
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with CPBI team to align marketing efforts with growth goals, internal and external communication, and brand consistency across all touchpoints;
- Attend meetings, support and contribute to the Member & Volunteer Experience Committee.
** Transition : Please note that the Institute is undergoing a new website and CRM transition with the launch of a new association management platform. Your participation in the integration of this transition will be a rewarding experience. The launch is planned for late Q4 2024.

- Flexible 4 or 5 days a week (30 or 37.5 hrs /week);
- 100% remote (or hybrid work 1 day/week at the Montreal National office if candidate is in Montreal area);

Requirements:
Profile Required
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communication, project management or relevant program.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant position (experience in the pension, benefits, investments or not-for-profit/association sector is an asset).
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with an ability to provide insights that influence future planning.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines with competing priorities.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills and general communications abilities written and verbal are required (a writing sample may be requested).
- Social/digital communications experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with understanding of the unique capabilities of each tool.
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Knowledgeable about new media communication tools, collaboration tools, web publishing and video production in an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills for tracking, measuring and reporting.
- English is required, and French an asset. As this position is posted as remote (or hybrid if incumbent lives in the Montreal region), we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is an asset as we have one Canadian Region (Chapter) in Quebec, but it is not a must.
- This position requires no staff supervision.
