How you will be impactful.
As the Senior Service Advisor, you will be accountable for providing superior support to the plan administrator and all that it entails for account management. You will work closely with the account executive and the technical advisor resolving contentious claim and billing issues. Your strong understanding of group benefits and the ability to navigate the insurance carriers to effectively resolve client issues is invaluable in freeing up client’s precious time.

Requirements:

What do you need to succeed?
•  Advanced knowledge of group insurance contract and booklets.
•  Understanding of claiming processes.
•  The ability to recognize a complaint, problem and/or unusual situation as an education opportunity.
•  Understanding of government programs and how they interface with group benefits.
•  Ability to implement plan changes and provide effective employee communications.
•  Ability to facilitate a change in insurer.
•  Assist Account Executives with recommendations for improvements in plan designs and help to identify any areas of concern for the client.


Additional Assets
•  Exceptional communication skills written and verbal for internal and external audiences.
•  Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate broader needs.
•  Advance users of all Microsoft Office Applications.
•  Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•  Ability to work exceptional well in a team environment and independently.
•  Have effective time management skills to successfully plan and prioritizing work
•  Minimum 5 years of combined experience as a Group Benefit Service Advisor with a major Canadian insurer and/or a group benefits consulting firm is required.
