Description:

NSHEPP is one of the largest registered pension plans in Nova Scotia, serving over 31,000 active members with over 85 participating employers at 150 sites throughout Nova Scotia.

On behalf of NSHEPP, we are recruiting a Director, Pension Client Services to lead the pension  administration function for a $9 billion dollar defined benefit pension plan.

Reporting the CEO, the Director will provide leadership to a team of 14 pension administration staff to manage relationships and provide client services to both Plan Members and  participating employers across the province. The Director Pension Client Services develops, implements and improves processes to ensure the effective distribution of pensions to plan members, ensuring the effective accrual, administration, compliance, reporting and distribution.

Requirements:

As the ideal candidate, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, combined with 15 years of pension administration experience in a defined benefit/multi-employer pension plans. A Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation would be an asset. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and motivation skills, along with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. The Director will have proven presentation experience with excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities is essential to success in this role.
