Canada’s Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau will be in Halifax on January 11, 2016 during an intense week of cross-country pre-budget consultations that will inform his new Government’s first federal budget. Minister Morneau and his Parliamentary colleagues will fan out across the country to ensure Canadians are at the table as the next federal budget is being developed. This is part of the Government’s commitment to openness and transparency. During his speech at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, Minister Morneau will provide an overview of the country’s current economic situation, and encourage an open and constructive conversation on how best to strengthen the middle class and boost economic growth.
