We are looking for a Senior Pension Administrator to lead a team providing high quality administration service to a large multi-employer pension plan. The successful applicant will demonstrate outstanding and timely customer service in all dealings with plan members, employer and union contacts and other external service providers. Specifically, the Senior Pension Administrator will:

• Review all benefits calculations in accordance with the plan text, plan schedules and collective agreements
• Oversee and manage workflow for processing of all retirement, termination and death calculations
• Be the main contact for union locals and HR representatives for all participating employers
• Calculate pension divisions on marriage breakdown
• Counsel plan members on the phone and in person
• Assist in the preparation of year end tasks
• Attend and present at retirement planning seminars outlining the plan rules and retirement process

Exigences:
The ideal candidate will have:
• A minimum of 5 years administering defined benefit pension plans (preferably negotiated cost)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, accounting, or finance is an asset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)
• Understanding of actuarial principles
• Ability to multi-task – this is essential.
