Principal duties as a Health and Benefits Consultant:

Health & Benefits Consultant develops innovative ideas that enhance our clients' ability to effectively manage health care benefit programs. To fulfill this role, the Consultant will:
• Assist client teams with benefit plan cost analyses and financial projections, renewal negotiations, competitive plan benchmarking, health and group product marketing, employee cost-sharing strategies, vendor and performance management, medical management
• Assist senior consultants with helping clients set longer term strategy and direction
• Support client teams as the lead consultant and as a technical resource to expand our business
• Work with vendors directly
• Have project management responsibilities, including creating and maintaining workplans for projects and large implementations
• Prepare proposals and responses to RFP
Exigences:
Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in the health and group benefits profession
• BA/BS degree
• Prepared to achieve Life License within a year
• Understanding of employee benefit plans and current healthcare issues;
• Superior financial analysis, analytical, problem solving and accounting skills;
• Strong planning, communication, and listening skills;
• Able to work with limited supervision
• Proven skills in working on large, complex projects
• Able to manage, motivate, and mentor more junior level staff
• Experience with and effective at working in a collaborative, team environment
• Detail oriented with excellent project management skills;
