 Pension and Benefits Analyst

Description:
The Pension& Benefits Analyst is responsible for the analysis and administration of all management, salaried, and hourly Benefit and Retirement Savings plans for the Corporation globally. The Pension & Benefits Analyst is responsible for providing effective analysis, research, and recommendations that develop and enhance the Corporation’s domestic/global retirement plans and domestic/global group insurance programs and policies. The analyst will serve as an escalation point for issues or concerns with the mandate to resolve problems expediently and in a way that is consistent with corporate policies and philosophies. In addition to the analytical responsibilities, the incumbent will perform coordination and administration duties such as enrollment, termination, billing, contribution, etc., towards different group retirement and group benefits plans.



Key Responsibilities:

-Research, design and recommend pension plan changes or introduce new plans where required
-Monitor and/or research competitor pension and retirement plans in locations where ShawCor has operations
-Enable plan transitions for newly acquired organizations
-Investment performance tracking and reporting
-Monitor company benefit costs and conduct cost analysis
-Liaise with insurance carriers and brokers in resolving benefit related issues
-Actively participate in the Pension and Benefit committee
-Meeting with investment managers on an ongoing basis
-Coordinate, conduct and implement annual renewals of the benefit plan
-Government reporting and audit completion
-Assist regional and divisional HR personnel with benefit plan interpretation, administration and implementation of changes
-Process pension/benefit related invoices
-Perform all functions of Pension, Retirement and Benefit plans including member enrollment, transfers, changes and terminations
Exigences:
Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Math
-Must have at least 3-5 years minimum experience in a similar role
-Superior written and verbal communication skills
-Advanced level of Microsoft Excel
-Working knowledge of MS Word and Powerpoint
-Must have the ability to problem solve, pay attention to detail and posses a high level of accuracy
-Knowledge of pension, retirement benefits and group benefits practices and procedures
-Should posses Human Resource management skills
-Knowledge of global compensation and benefits practices
