The Account Executive - Client Manager is part of a professional Regional Group Office team focused on selling, growing business and retaining a profitable block within the large group market (100+ plan members). As the primary external relationship manager, the Account Executive develops and maintains relationships with Plan Advisors and decision makers of Plan Sponsors in order to optimize delivery of products, services and advice, meet their respective unique needs and expectations to achieve divisional sales, persistency, and profitability targets. This position is located within the Toronto Victoria Park Regional Group Office at 4 Lansing Square.


Responsibilities

The maintenance (persistency) and profitability of the in force block, amendment sales, and resolution of escalated client issues
Financial management of accounts within their assigned block
Education of Plan Sponsors on plan designs
Influencing plan design and pricing decisions for amendments
Delivery of value-added products, services and advice to Plan Sponsors
Negotiation of renewals
Presentation of financial reports
Ongoing Advisor relationships
Proactive and reactive client visits and service
Development and execution of plans that deliver value added benefits and services to Plan Advisors and Plan Sponsors

Exigences:
Post secondary degree or diploma
CEBS Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation or ability to attain within 3 years
PC skills on internet, email and Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Overall knowledge of group benefit products and services
Understanding of trends and emerging issues in the group benefits industry and how they relate to clients
Knowledge of government benefits, insurance law, human rights legislation and privacy & confidentiality policies
Experience in the financial services industry
Attributes:
Strong business acumen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proficiency in making presentations and building relationships
Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
Strong listening and comprehension skills
Mathematical/financial aptitude
Ability to achieve in a self-directed environment
