Group Retirement Services is Canada's leading provider of Defined Contribution pension plans, with 1.2 million member accounts that belong to more than 825,000 Canadians.

Role Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining superior client relationships for a portfolio of National Account clients based in Ontario. The client base is composed of retirement arrangements that are varied in design within the medium and large market segments, and consist of a broad range of products and investments offered by the client..

Main Accountabilities:

• Maintain frequent contact with the clients to ensure client satisfaction and client loyalty
• Continuously assess the evolving needs of the client and introduce services or product solutions to meet those needs over time
• Create and maintain an annual Business Plan and develop specific client relationship management strategies for each client
• Account for the overall profitability of the clients
• Actively participate with the sales leader in the sales process (i.e. contribute to developing proposal for services, attend short list presentations to describe GRS' client relationship process as well as key client services)
• Work closely with the plan set-up team, coordinate new plan set-up and installation process for new clients
• Be an active member of the pension professional community in the region
Exigences:
Competencies:

• Proven record in the Client Relationship Management field, with minimum of 5 years working with group pension and savings clients
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve client concerns
• Strong client focus
• Highly motivated, independent self-starter with strong business acumen and negotiation skills
• Broad knowledge of the services provided by record-keeping organizations, such as Sun Life Financial's Group Retirement Services
• Extensive knowledge of the legislation governing retirement savings programs at both the federal and provincial levels as well as a solid understanding of emerging regulatory trends and the implications for clients
• Strong presentation skills
• Superior organizational skills and the ability to follow through
• University degree or equivalent

Assets:

• A professional designation associated with the group retirement services industry (e.g. CEBS, RPA, IFIC, CSC, other)
• Access to a vehicle as travel is primarily within the GTA (approximately 30% to 50% of time)
