Position and Responsibilities
Brendan is a senior vice president with Aon in Vancouver providing investment consulting services to our clients. He is leader of Aon’s Retirement practice in Canada, which includes our dedicated Investment Consulting practice.

Areas of Specialization
Brendan has worked in the pension and benefits field in both South Africa and British Columbia. His areas of specialization include the financing and actuarial analysis of pension plans and investment consulting. He has been involved in the design and implementation of pension plans and supplementary pension plans, investment policy design and monitoring and investment manager searches. He also has experience in performing risk analysis and performing asset-liability projections.

Background
Brendan has a B. Econ. Sc. (with Distinction) degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Prior to joining Aon in 1995 he worked in South Africa for a major consulting firm.

Professional Affiliations
Brendan qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (England) in 1997. In 1998, he obtained his Fellowship in the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. In 2001, he obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR). He has coauthored a number of publications, as outlined below:
