Director, Sales, Group & Business Insurance, Eastern Ontario and Outaouais (Quebec)

Description:
• Develop new business and service existing business for the various group insurance products in the markets of Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and Outaouais (Québec).
• Market group insurance products including the growth of sales, the establishment of local procedures and development of local distribution channels for group insurance in accordance with the Company’s objectives.
• Manage persistency of current clients through service and additional sales.
• Significant emphasis placed on networking, attendance at industry events, etc. to promote the reputation and abilities of DFS and of the Desjardins Group with the different stakeholders on the Ottawa Sales Office territory, including the Federal Government.
• Contribute to the success of the Group and Business Insurance division by working efficiently with the other sectors of the division.
• Assist in the drafting of guidelines, objectives and strategies for the Group Division.
• Assist in establishing, implementing and monitoring methods for controlling the quality of operations.
• Establish, motivate and maintain a sales team, in Ottawa.
• Work with Group Sales Senior Management to ensure the development and training needs of your staff are met.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the sales and marketing of group insurance products, or other financial products, including experience managing sales and service staff.
• Your expertise in this field means that you have an excellent reputation within the market, and a track record of achievement.
• You are distinguished by your knowledge of sales, your dynamic spirit, diplomacy and tact.
• Energetic development of profitable business is a priority for you.
• Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to motivate others.
• A gifted communicator with excellent persuasive skills.
• You are fully bilingual.
