What you will be doing:

- Administering MEC’s various external benefit plans
- Administering and monitor MEC’s Group RRSP
- Consulting with and advising employees on their eligibility for coverage under MEC’s various benefit plans
- Co-ordinating benefit program administration with MEC Managers and Store Administrative Assistants
- Working collaboratively with the Manager, Compensation & Benefits in the development and implementation of new or replacement benefit plans
- Working directly with the Group Carriers and MEC Managers to manage MEC’s disability claims (STD and LTD) and any Return to Work plans
- Completing ad hoc projects as requested by the Manager, Compensation & Benefits

Requirements:
What you need to do it well:

- Post secondary degree in a related discipline (i.e. Commerce, Economics, Business or Human Resources Management). Working towards a CEBS or CHRP Designation considered an asset
- 3-5 years experience in a benefits administration role
- Disability Claims Management experience
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Advanced PC Skills with MS Word and MS Excel. Experience working with a HRIS mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal & written communications skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
- Attention to detail
- Confidentiality, diplomacy and tact
- French communication skills considered a strong asset
