PENSION INVESTMENT FORECAST 2010

Attend CPBI Ontario Region’s 5th ANNUAL PENSION INVESTMENT FORECAST and hear senior investment professionals from among the country’s most influential pension plans as they share their views and ideas on the challenges and issues facing them in the months to come.

~     What is on the agenda for pension plan investment committees for 2010?
~     Do they plan changes to their asset mix?
~     What are they doing in terms of risk management?
~     What are the liability concerns and are they doing any kind of liability
        driven investing?
~     What are their views on alternatives?
~     How has active management fared in 2009?
~     Comments on changes following the decline of 2008.

Jonathan Tretrault, Principal, Mckinsey & Company, will set the stage with an overview of the investment trends in the industry;
Dr. Marlene Puffer, Managing Director, Twist Financial Corporation, will talk about the trends in liability driven investing (LDI) and some practical considerations in this environment;
Malcolm Hamilton, Worldwide Partner, Mercer, will highlight his thoughts on the defined contribution plan challenge.

Following this introduction the plan sponsor panel, moderated by Wendy Brodkin, T. Rowe Price (Canada) will discuss their thoughts on these issues.  The panel is:
