The recommendations of the Expert Commission on Pensions will affect the entire pension and investment industry. This session will highlight and critique the major issues through a panel discussion.

The Expert Commission was established in 2006 to examine the legislation that governs the funding of defined benefit pension plans in Ontario, the rules relating to pension deficits and surpluses, and other issues relating to the security, viability and sustainability of the pension system in Ontario.

CPBI is offering a breakfast session to hear about the report of the Government of Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions which is scheduled for released on November 20th, 2008.  A panel of industry experts representing the views from plan sponsor, actuarial, legal and investment perspectives will discuss the report: what is in it, what is not in it and what they would have liked to see. The panel will be moderated by Wendy Brodkin, T Rowe Price and includes:
