This presentation will discuss the trends, the issues and the strategies to deal with rising drug costs and what needs to be done to keep employer sponsored drug plans sustainable into the future.

On the surface, the fact that prescription drug expenditures are increasing at a slower rate compared to previous years is good news. But dig a little deeper and the news is not so good. While the ‘patent cliff’ has led to lower spending than in the past, the ‘biologic wave’ is about to hit, and plan sponsors should be prepared for it.

This presentation will discuss the trends, the issues and the strategies to deal with rising drug costs and what needs to be done to keep employer sponsored drug plans sustainable into the future.
