A slowing Chinese economy, Eurozone debt refinancing and an impending U. S. "fiscal cliff", were just some of the headlines that played a big role in shaping the investment landscape in 2012.  With such uncertainty across the globe, many investors continued the trend of remaining largely risk averse that had been a consistent theme since the credit crisis.  This continuing saga towards risk aversion has molded investor psychology and manifested itself by sharply influencing fund flows and valuation disparitites within equity and fixed income markets.
