Caregiving Employees - Addressing Their Needs

With the aging boomer population and increased longevity, many employees have to worry not only about childcare but also about eldercare for aging parents and loved ones.

With the aging boomer population and increased longevity, many employees have to worry not only about childcare but also about eldercare for aging parents and loved ones.  Fortunately, employers are also working to provide access to benefits and services to help employees deal with these issues.  With 20 - 30% of the employee population affected by caregiving challenges in any given year, this session will explore who these employees are and what top employers are doing to address their needs.  A number of different options exist for employers, from policy change to program enhancements and even insurance offerings.  Each option will be examined in detail during this session, including how they work and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
