FIR Labour Relations Ltd. is a well-established human resource consulting organization that provides collective bargaining and contract administration services to companies in the BC forest industry. The company also has a very significant role in the management and governance of three large negotiated multi-employer pension and benefit plans and is responsible for appointing trustees to those plans.

In the near future, due to attrition, we may be appointing 1-3 trustees to various boards of trustees. Trustees must possess a strong background in the pension and group benefits field, understand fiduciary duties and their importance, and excel at collaborative problem solving.

The successful candidate(s) will be a detail oriented but collaborative problem solver who can work effectively with both union-appointed and management-appointed trustees. Knowledge and experience in the forest industry is desirable but a strong background in the pension and benefits field is essential and a CEBS designation is important.
