General Description

Working collaboratively in a team environment, this position nurtures the prospect/client relationship life cycle from prospect to client and supports the Client Development Consultant and Client Consultant, preparing correspondence, running quotes and generating related records and reports. Supports and helps to manage clients.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Manage the client life cycle from prospect to quote stage, then from quote to client stage
  • Manage customer relationship management (CRM) to track and nurture leads, prospects and close accounts
  • Maintain relationships and follow up with prospects
  • Provide product, promotion, and quote information by prospect/client request; selecting and forwarding appropriate information; and answering questions
  • Support Client Development Consultant and Client Consultant on prospect/client-related communications, providing quotes, and clerical/administrative support
  • Compiles data and run reports for existing clients
  • Stay up to date on benefit related issues and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of the benefits industry

  • Strongly team oriented with the willingness/ability to collaborate and participate in sharing ideas 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and administrative writing skills
  • Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills

  • Proven ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all business situations
  • A positive, ‘roll up your sleeves, think outside the box, no job is too big or too small’ attitude

Ideal Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of  related industry experience, insurance industry experience would be an asset
  • University degree or college diploma with sales and/or communications emphasis
