We are seeking an individual to serve as an Account Manager in our Western Sales and Service Team. This position will report to the Director, Sales & Service, Western Region.

• Manage an assigned block of business, including:
o Negotiation of renewals
o Presentation of the annual report cards to clients
o Selling and implementation of plan amendments
• Develop relationships with senior HR and/or Financial contacts of major clients and their advisors:
o Identify key client issues
o Develop strategy to resolved and deliver client-focused solutions
o Engage GSC Team in delivery of solutions
• Maintain and improve margins on the assigned block of business.
• Develop close working relationships with Senior Account Executive and Service Team to ensure alignment of personal and team objectives.



• Minimum of five years experience as an Account Manager with clients and/or advisors in the health benefits or a related sector.
• Post secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
• GBA designation is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with health and dental underwriting.
• Proven success in growing and maintaining a block of business, commerce or a related discipline.
• Extensive Sales, Marketing and Customer Service knowledge.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team building abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Superior organizational and time management skills. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize tasks and set objectives.
• Very good analytical, problem solving skills and solution based selling skills.
• Results oriented, internally motivated and exhibits determination and initiative to meet objectives.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software applications.
• Ability to travel.
