THE ROLE

In Group benefits, the major accounts team serves the Alberta Blue Cross 1000 + employer group clients and are proud to be their benefits carrier of choice.  The successful candidate will report to the Manager of major accounts and will be responsible for ensuring the needs and expectations of our valued group clients are met and exceeded on a continual basis.  The customer experience we deliver to our clients is second to none and the expectation of the role of Account Manager is to embrace and act on the following:

SERVICE DELIVERY

Account Management including the following: 

  • Build, strengthen and sustain relationships with large group clients and consultants
  • Present and negotiate renewals ensuring that a balance is struck between the viability of our book of business and the needs and expectations of our valued clients
  • Partner with a multitude of areas with the organization on issues relating to administration of our clients and ensure delivery of value added products.
  • Collaborate with our dedicated Client Service team to ensure an effective, high level of scheduled service to clients in Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • Strategize and anticipate the needs and expectations of our valued clients.
  • Lead benefit and administrative presentations to existing and potential clients.
Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to easily liaise with consultants, advisors, underwriters, and the sales and service team
  • You have a high attention to detail and have mastered the art of organization
  • You demonstrate sensitivity to department and individual needs when dealing with all interactions.
  • Professionalism and excellence in sales ability and presentation skills.
  • A desire to learn and grow your knowledge and skillset through industry educational courses,  industry related conferences and seminars
  • Life, Accident and Sickness licensing is an asset.
