Description:

The Human Resources Department is responsible for effective recruiting, human resource policy development and administration, performance management systems, compensation research, organizational effectiveness, benefit programs and payroll functions.

 

We are currently looking for a Benefits Administrator to join our Human Resources team. The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the effective administration of various group insurance and savings plans across the IGM companies. The incumbent acts as the coordinator for various benefits plans as well as the liaison for external vendors and internal clients.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Administration of group insurance, savings and other benefit plans with outsource partners.
  • Administering the benefit plans in compliance with plan policies, current legislation and corporate governance requirements.
  • Providing support to internal clients by responding to inquiries from employees regarding the benefit plans.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all employee benefit programs
  • Maintaining and auditing data in SAP for employee programs and benefits
  • Assisting the Senior Benefits Specialists with administration of the annual group insurance re-enrolment process for plan member renewal.
  • Providing additional support within the Benefits and Pension team, as required.

 

Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an office environment, preferably benefits and pension administration. Exposure to the financial services industry would be considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a business-related discipline.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity due to the nature of the information and client base.
  • The ability to communicate in French would be considered an asset.
  • Enrollment in, or completion of, the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) program would be considered an asset.
