Adjudicator II - Competition # 20-07

Up to 6 Permanent Positions

Salary Range:  $ 58,144 - $ 72,677

Do you have advanced customer service skills that you developed in a position responsible for making adjudication decisions or in a similar work environment? Do you have well-developed skills in analyzing criteria (such as legislation, policies, and/or procedures) in order to formulate sound decisions regarding entitlement to a specific benefit, product or service? Do you also have strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and support decision rational to a variety of customers? WCB is currently recruiting for 6 Adjudicator II positions. The Adjudicator is the first point of contact in the WCB Short Term Claims department responsible for managing all aspects of a WCB claim up to 14 weeks in duration, and Hearing Loss claims for the entire length of the claim. Each day the team of Adjudicators responds to and initiates inquiries to claim stakeholders including injured workers, employers, representatives, healthcare practitioners and other specialized service providers to facilitate the coordinated management of the claim and to ensure the WCB goal of "Putting Customers at the Centre of All we do" is achieved.

Grade 12 and completion of a 2 year diploma in a related discipline.

Two years experience as an Adjudicator I OR 2 years experience in a similar environment making entitlement decisions based on a defined set of criteria (ie. policies, procedures, legislation, etc.) including client service experience.
