Description:

Our Group Benefits team is a leader in our target markets through service excellence and innovative technology and products. Influenced by our co-operative values, our team of experts work collaboratively with clients to deliver solutions that meet their business needs. The Group Sales Account Manager has significant involvement in building and maintaining relationships with Brokers and Third-Party Administrators (TPA’s), Credit Unions, Member Owners, our Advisor network, and other clients to support their growth initiatives for group benefits. This role is responsible for delivering an enhanced client experience to their identified channel.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Support the strategic sales and marketing plans to grow our group business through the channel they support.
  • Be held accountable to an individual sales target that supports the overall team or regional goal.
  • Facilitate renewal process with existing clients and servicing of Group Benefits policies to attain high service satisfaction levels and to attain regional/team retention goals.
  • Work in partnership with operational areas to develop and present proposals and facilitate the development of renewal packages.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with our key sources and provide support to them to manage their group benefits business.
  • Prepare and/or present training and benefit implementation sessions to clients and other sources.
  • Plan and participate in networking opportunities including industry and client visits.
  • Support the GBDM in the management of large group accounts, the development of business plans and the budget process.

Requirements:

To join our team:

  • Post-secondary education but will consider equivalent knowledge gained through significant related work experience.
  • Three to five years successful group insurance experience. Related sales experience is an asset.
  • Significant knowledge of group benefits principles and practices.
  • Professional designation (e.g. CEBS, GBA) would be considered an asset.
